About Laboratories (Labs)

Each type of knowledge has value, however, in current scenario practical knowledge seems to be more valuable than theoretical knowledge. Our school has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students are encouraged to use these laboratories to learn through experiments. Every year latest instruments, specimens, charts etc are purchased for these laboratories.

Laboratory training is frequently used to develop skills necessary for more advanced study or researches. Students are able to research information quickly. They can find their own answers, discover their own truths. These laboratories help to enrich the overall personality of the students through motivation and reinforcement.

Computer Lab:

School has computer lab with 75 computers. It has advance infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which cater to the requirements of students, teachers and the curriculum. The Information Technology curriculum has been planned in such a way that the students of class I to VIII will get exposure to various technologies and software.

Besides taking care of the curriculum the students are given opportunities to participate in various competitions like NGC (National Graphics Championship) and NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) at national level and they come to know where they stand. The faculty members work hard with the students to bring them up to level of expectation to compete with the students all over the country.

Biology Lab:

Biology Lab supports biological research on small plants, small invertebrates, microorganisms, animal cells and tissue cultures. These experiments help to identify “The role that microgravity plays at all the levels of an organism, from the effects on a single cell up to a complete organism including humans.”

In the biology lab, the students study detailed structures, morphological, histological and physiological aspects of plants and animals. Study of slides under the microscopes or studying the museum specimens kindles a natural curiosity towards Nature and instills a joy of learning the flora & fauna around us. All the equipment and specimens that we have in the lab are open for the school students to be used under careful supervision. This is a place where our students are given a chance to ‘discover’ before they are ‘told’. Children have the liberty to make models and projects by availing lab facilities.

Physics Lab:

Our lab supports all introductory laboratory sections. The lab is equipped with wireless printer, vernier instrumentation supporting experiments in motion, force, energy, momentum, waves, electricity and magnetism.

Well planned, spacious and well equipped Physics lab has all the interesting sets of equipment to reinforce scientific and experimental concepts and facilitate in developing investigative skills. There are models, charts, apparatus, kits, and experimental gadgets to cater the needs of students. In the Physics lab, students discover the law which governs a certain phenomenon or verify a given law which has been derived from a theory.

Chemistry Lab:

We are able to assist by providing lab space, equipments, and technical assistance.

Typical organic chemistry experiments that schools have carried out include:

Nitration of Methyl benzoate.
Synthesis of food flavoring esters.
The production of the pharmaceuticals.
Preparation of crystals of various compounds.
Synthesis of soap from oil or fat.

Principal’s Message

It is an immense pride and pleasure to be a part of Swami Nitanand Group of schools. It is believed and put into actual practice by all of us here that the budding potentialities of young boys and girls have got to be supplemented by academic and non-academic skills of multi-faceted growth on one hand, as well as innate equipoise and happiness to be imbued in their personalities on the other. A worthy family of more than 160 teaching and non-teaching faculty members, is consistently striving to put this vision into concrete shapes. We pride on the fact that almost all the worthy teaching and non-teaching members have been associated with us for a long duration of time. We bestow student friendly environment with rich Indian values and ethos which brings simultaneous development of spirit, mind and body.

It is a constant endeavour for all of us here to imbue and to include the latest innovations that have been happening in this beautiful academic world. The challenges are many, the difficulties are countless but the indomitable will of Nitanandians, their perseverance and their clarity of focus and vision will surely keep us strong in this marching success of Mankind. Of course “History theirs whose language is the Sun”.

Principal’s Message

I am honored and feel very privileged to serve as the Principal of Swami Nitanand Global Residential School, Barhana. I am always excited and look forward to working with our students, staff and parents to make Swami Nitanand, the best school it can be. My commitment to our community is to lead the school with enthusiasm and passion to enable us to reach our goals.

As we are ready to move on in the third year of functioning, it gives me immense pleasure to share that the school has acquired popularity and a formidable reputation in the area.

We try to build student’s self-confidence so that they are unafraid to take the risk of attempting new challenges, to help them blossom and grow as individuals and to give them the academic, social and emotional skills to enable them to better realize their true potential when they move on to their own careers.

I have an open door policy and urge all parents to take this opportunity to discuss any issue with me so that we can move forward together. We truly have a fantastic school with supportive and involved parents’ community, dedicated and highly skillful staff, excellent resources and buildings, along with the most fantastic students to work with.

Swami Nitanand has been making a significant contribution to the society through spreading value based education, keeping the ancient Vedic heritage in mind. In fact, it is the only organization which has set high standards of education, while maintaining a balance between Vedic wisdom and modernity.
